This guide provides our recommended configuration for the Telus T3200M gateway to ensure optimal VoIP performance.
â Quick Checklist: Signs Your Telus T3200M Needs VoIP Configuration
If you notice any of the following, this guide is for you:
Symptom | Description |
|---|---|
Phone deregistration | Phones show "Not Registered" or lose registration randomly |
One-way audio | You can hear the caller, but they can't hear you (or vice versa) |
No incoming calls | Phone doesn't ring for incoming calls, but outbound works |
Call transfer failures | Parties can't hear each other after transfers |

âïž Option 1: Disable SIP ALG (Recommended)
The Telus T3200M has a dedicated SIP ALG setting that can be disabled through the advanced configuration menu.

3 | Find SIP ALG setting | Look for SIP ALG in the Advanced menu. It may be under Voice Advanced Settings . |
4 | Disable SIP ALG | Uncheck or disable the SIP ALG option. Click Apply to save changes. |
5 | Reboot gateway | Reboot the T3200M for changes to take effect. |
Option 2: Port Bridging Mode (Use Your Own Router)
If you prefer to use your own router for full control, Telus supports Port Bridging on the T3200M.
Note: The T3200M is one of the Telus gateway models that supports bridge mode, along with the T1200H and T2200H
